Nutrition Notes III
According to the National Weight Control Registry (made up of people who have lost at least 30 pounds and kept it off for 1 year or longer), there are three factors that most of the participants have in common:
- They exercise regularly
- They log their food (even one day a week has been shown to make a difference)
- They don’t change their eating and exercise behavior for special occasions
It may be too late for Superbowl 50, but think about Valentine’s Day or Easter or Passover. The food may be different but consider keeping portions similar and plan some time to maintain fitness routines. Nowhere is it written that one has to feel uncomfortably stuffed in order for it to be a “good” holiday!
