Happy Flag Day!
There will be another celebration featuring the flag in a couple of weeks, which brings me to the topic of ALCOHOL. For people who are trying to be mindful around their eating (decreasing fat cells while maintaining muscle mass) even during holidays,
Alcohol has two main purposes:
1) It opens the palate so that food tastes better.
2) It lowers inhibitions.
With this in mind, is it any wonder that most restaurants would like to start you with an adult beverage? They are hoping to enhance the taste of their product and maybe lower your resistance to the dessert cart.
I would usually recommend that my clients have their alcohol with a meal and to not have any extra just because of the Holiday. Enjoy mindfully; keep fat cells in check and breeze through any CHP check points.
